Crème de la Crème, a Belgium based leader in plant-based ice cream, has been at the forefront of food technology since 1999. With 25 years of experience, the company excels in developing, producing, and commercializing ice cream. Their expertise extends to creating successful plant-based products since 2010.

The Challenge

Creme de la Creme faced specific challenges and pain points while working on an open-source Odoo version (v7) which was extensively customized to their needs. Dissatisfaction with their existing system prompted them to seek a transition to Odoo v15 on-premise. The customer required Odoo development on their system, including a custom front end for managing production and logistics operations. Last but not least the customer required a system to plan in preventative maintenance for their expensive machinery.

The Solution

We delivered a range of services to address the customer's needs, including a business assessment, Odoo development, training, and tailor-made software solutions. The implementation involved key Odoo modules such as Manufacturing, Sales, Purchase, CRM, Quality, Inventory, Accounting, and Helpdesk.

The project spanned five months, focusing on migrating from the current Odoo v7 open source to Odoo v15. Our approach involved discussions, assessments, proof of concepts, and incremental deliveries through sprints, each aligned with the customer's requirements. Unique and custom solutions included a custom front end for production and logistics operations, EDI connections (Goods despatched, Invoice, Orders, Purchase, Stock counts for external warehouses), a factoring interface with Belfius Bank, and integrations with external warehouses.
